A 7-week business plan development course to empower and support to start, grow, and compete in the current market by providing quality training, coaching, and access to resources.  The class will meet Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-8 pm.

 

Topics covered include entrepreneurial term concepts, business mindset, time management, developing business concept statement, determining the features and benefits of products and services, incorporation options, operations management, introduction to marketing, customer demographics and buying patterns, industry research, direct vs. indirect competition, development of SWOT competitive analysis, startup vs. operating costs, pricing strategies, financial projections for profitability, cash flow, balance sheet, and income statement, and break-even analysis.

In addition, Fifth Third Bank is partnering to teach small business banking financial literacy concepts regarding opening bank accounts, credit, loan requirements, reinvestment, insurance, payment options, merchant services, and payroll.

The course will end with a business pitch competition providing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners with some support towards startup costs.
